Ground Control Station & Competition Server Link
A ground control station that works alongside QGroundControl, plus a MAVLink bridge that streams our UAV telemetry to the competition server. Used without issues at the TEKNOFEST 2026 Fighter UAV final.
What I did
- Built the GCS interface with PyQt and HTML/JavaScript, showing the live video feed and telemetry.
- While flight plans were drawn and flown from QGroundControl, I shared the telemetry link through a MAVLink proxy so the same data appeared in my own GCS in real time.
- A Python data bridge I wrote sent our UAV data to the competition server over ethernet in the required format.
- Rival UAV positions and no-fly zone data returned by the server were processed live in the GCS.
- The system ran flawlessly at the TEKNOFEST 2026 Fighter UAV final.
